About Trent
Trent Speckhals founded Speckhals Law, P.C. in 1998. He is devoted to representing the families of those killed and people who are severely injured. He specializes in medication error cases, such as pharmacy and prescription errors, and also represents clients in defective and dangerous products, electrocution, burn, drowning, deck collapse, and crash cases, as well as legal malpractice. Previously, Trent litigated at one of the Southeast’s largest and oldest firms, Kilpatrick Townsend, LLP.
Trent graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988. While working full time as an Account Executive and then Sales Director at AT&T, Trent attended Georgia State University’s College of Law, where he was a member of Law Review and Moot Court, and graduated cum laude in 1993. He also served on the White House Advance Team for President George H.W. Bush.
Trent is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, American Association of Justice, and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine and has been selected to Georgia Trend’s Legal Elite.
Trent is also an Adjunct Professor at Georgia State University’s College of Law where he teaches Lawyering Advocacy, a trial skills course for law students.
Trent’s article on Prescription Errors, Not What the Doctor Ordered, was published in the national lawyers’ magazine, TRIAL. He has been interviewed about his trials and cases in numerous newspapers and news programs, including ABC’s World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, CBS46 News, WSB-TV, ABC News, and the Fulton County Daily Report.
